Premium Educational and Practice Features
With access to comprehensive music production and practice software from leading music education platforms Skoove and Melodics (see below for more details), the Alesis Recital Play is so much more than a single instrument—it's a complete musical ecosystem tailored to support and inspire you throughout your journey.
For a hands-on experience that adds convenience and detail to your in-person lessons, you can experiment with the Recital Play’s built-in Lesson Mode, which is designed for learning alongside a music teacher or instructor. In Lesson Mode, the piano divides its 88 keys into two zones with the same pitch and voice, which enables both student and teacher to easily watch each other and play together without having to take turns.
Convenient Connectivity Options
If you are interested in exploring more educational software or even virtual instrument plugins, the Recital Play also features a built-in metronome and a USB-MIDI output for connecting to your computer.
Plus, the instrument’s rear panel features a 1/4” (6.35mm) sustain pedal input for the included pedal; a 1/8” (3.5mm) auxiliary input for connecting a microphone, mobile phone, or tablet; and 1/8” (3.5mm) headphone output which mutes the internal speakers for convenient, quiet private practice. Alternately, you can connect the 1/8” (3.5mm) headphones output to connect Recital Play a recorder, mixer, amplifier, or other sound system.
Recital Play is fully portable and can be powered by connecting the included power supply to the rear power input, or by loading six AA batteries (not included) to the bottom panel compartment for when you take the show on the road.
